In the tradition of Hatha yoga, Ganesha is known as the remover of obstacles. I would like for my students, while they practice yoga, to have the opportunity to learn as well as over-come difficulties in their lives. Ganesha teaches students to remove the mental, spiritual and physical obstacles in their lives. For any questions, please email: mweiche@schools.nyc.gov

The country i chose was Africa, Uganda, it's capital being Kampala.
The reasons i chose Uganda, Africa, is for these reasons:
>Sub-Saharan Africa is the world's 70% Cause Of HIV/AIDS today.
>Very Small Poplulation.
>Very poor Population.
>One of the worst areas in Africa/ In most need.
Also Because:
> I seen the Movie based on this are called "beat The Drum"
> Kids of even 5 yrd old were getting HIV as well, becuase; everyone doesn't see it as a disease. They believe it's a CURSE in which could be ridden of by having sexual intercourse with A virgin, better yet said an INFANT.
>These people didnt believe in condoms, and REFUSED to wear them.
>Prostitutes would go around all day with NO protection so The disease of HIV/AIDS would spread very quickly.
>Everyone REFUSED to even speak about it , in fear that they too would get "cursed"
>Because Africa is not a wealthy area young kids everyday steal in order to survive, there is a lot of violence , and no education.
> They live their life in fear, becuase they don't know that there is help, and the technology is improving.
I wanto to go to Uganda because:
>I want to teach them what they do not know.
>I want to improve their education , and not have to worry about teachers molesting their students, because they believe it'll cure them.
> I want to give the homeless homes.
>And most important i want to put a stop to these people risking themselves everyday from getting HIV/AIDS

I would choose Romania because:
1. Volunteers work with their Romanian partners to help communities participate successfully in the global economy and upgrade their standard of living.
2. Volunteers work with city halls, municipal and county councils, local development agencies, business support organizations, high schools, and universities.
3. Volunteers work with community and regional environmental organizations, schools, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in a long-term effort to develop environmental education programs for students.

The country I chose was Jamaica.The three reason why i chose Jamaica are because
1. I wanted a country in the caribbeans.
2.My boyfriend is jamaican so i thought if i chose Jamaica i can learn a little about his country while doing my yoga project,
3.Because in reality i never heard about actors/volunteers attending Jamaica to help with them in their time of need.So i was going to make a change in that.

the country i choose is the Dominican Republic.
1. this is a country with excellent cuisine and i would want ot pick up on it and learn a few recipies.
2. i'm into to music and merengue rocks.
3. i speak spanish, so going there would be easy.
4. the guys are hot(had to add that one)
