In the tradition of Hatha yoga, Ganesha is known as the remover of obstacles. I would like for my students, while they practice yoga, to have the opportunity to learn as well as over-come difficulties in their lives. Ganesha teaches students to remove the mental, spiritual and physical obstacles in their lives. For any questions, please email: mweiche@schools.nyc.gov

My project would be education, and HIV/AIDS protection.
My reasons are:
(mentioned before)
>The poor stay out trying to get food, etc and don't attend school. With a home for everyone they woudn't have to worry and get good education.
>Being that in this case they would recive good education ,noone woudnt have to worry about their family going aroud having unprotected sex.
> With good education these kids would know they can make a great living for themselves and won't give up on life ( which is usually thought as making the best of it ) they woudn't throw it away and make someone of themselves.
>And finally i want to help these young kids stay off the streets and away from danger, to see the positive side of things, and leave out all negative energy, with education they can haven many good activities such as self defense , or even yoga.
All these things could change the life of many,

The project i chose for my peace crops project is Jamaica i chose youth development.Three reasons why i chose youth development is because
1.I would like to go help make skecthes to build schools, teens in Jamaica arent involved in school due to the level of proverty.
2.I want to help teens join activities/sports because due to the urbanization in jamaica teens are more likely to be involoved in drugs, gang activities and unhealthy lifestyle pratices.
3.I would like to bring guest such as famous speakers to speak to teens and express the need to be active with learning due to the many children/young adults that die from joining gangs.

the project i choose would be the community economic development program.
1. i think that the first thing a country needs to esablish is a stable economy.
2. money and knowledge go hand in hand. expecially when your educating poeple on how to make money.
3. the idea of teaching in general is fun for me and seeing what grows out of the seeds of knowledge is interesting
